December 2021 Free Desktop Wallpaper

Here we are at the close of another year. How does it go so fast? This morning on our early sunrise walk around the lake, Tim and I wondered together about what our guiding word for December should be. We talked about how we want this month to feel slow and sacred. How we want to hold still in the moments of advent and steep in the favorite activities and bustle of Christmas. This time is special. It carries great gravity. And it also goes so fast.

So we decided to lean into the word “Sacred” – to honor the significance of both the simple and supreme.
For this desktop design, I was inspired by faded Christmas postcards I have collected from antique stores and my grandmothers stashes over the years. I like the way these colors make me feel. Hopefully it brings good memories to you as well. Feel free to choose the color scheme you most resonate with. Praying that you can find your own “Still, Still, Still” this holiday season. Much love always, Betony

September 2020 Desktop & iPhone Wallpaper

We just got back from a family trip to visit the coastal redwoods in Northern California for the first time. The minimal color palette of the forest, the smell of the needles and the fog, the peaceful immensity of the trees, all of these things have been resting in my sub-conscience and filling up my inner wells. Hopefully this forest-inspired wallpaper can bring a little of that feeling to your spaces as well. Thank you all for your continued love and care for our family and artwork. Happy September! – Betony

January Free Calendar Desktop and iPhone Wallpaper

We love the end of the year holidays. All the festivities and feasting are something we look forward to all year long. But, I have also really started looking forward to January and the close of the old year as well. There is nothing quite like it. The vast potential and blank slate of a new year fills me with fresh energy. It reminds me of the feeling of cleaning off a cluttered workspace and coming in the next morning to a clear table with endless possibility and energy. Our theme this month we will be exploring is “Clearing.”  To kick us off on this first day of 2016, here is a clean minimal desktop/iphone wallpaper set for you. A tiny boat heading off into new adventures.
To dig into January, read this simple poem, make this yummy New Years Stew,  and listen to this “Resolutions” playlist. For the desktop, click on the small thumbnail below to view the large size image.

March Theme: “Green”

Here is our poem for March; exploring why we chose the theme “green” to describe these days…

March is a begging garden
Fingertips ready for dirt
Jeans longing for grass stains

The hints of the first warm days
find us oustide immediately
Our hearts looking for any excuse to walk

Enjoying those tips of green in the
fields we see

A prologue of the good garden to come
